The Roman Painting

The painting is essentially a decorative art in Rome. As frescoes, Roman fresco, painting consisted of architectural views, landscapes and figure compositions. In general, Roman wall decoration has continued to make use of architectural elements architectural divisions as the basis of their Plans of Roman painters inspired by Greek painting, painted epic scenes, landscapes, still lifes, scenes of life daily. However, during the time of August, there was a way to paint garden which gave the illusion of opening up the wall with a garden view.

Romans developed the technique “impressionist” who mainly used in the fantastic scenery – views of imaginary landscapes with buildings, houses, scenes of Port. The technique impresionistic appears first as an experiment in the treatment of light and color. It was accepted by the artist, and became a powerful influence in the development of painting.
